Hi! I’m Jennifer. Aka Jen(n) but not Jenny (unless your name is Forrest or you’re my aunt then you get a pass!) So, here I am…creating a blog about running. An outlet for my love/hate relationship I have with the sport.
Reasons I love (?) it:
- So easy a toddler can do it
- I can go as fast or as slow as I want
- Doesn’t require any special equipment, clothes, etc
- No gym membership required
- I can literally step out my door and go
- I get to call myself a runner!
Reasons I hate it:
- Ugh, running, really ?!?
- It’s too cold
- It’s too hot
- It’s raining
- That first step!
So I thought I could perhaps encourage others and in the process even myself to get motivated to run more and enjoy the wonderful running family! I hope you find this site mildly entertaining, encouraging and occasionally educational. Thanks for tagging along with me on this journey and taking fitness on the run!

Go. Run. Fitness Anywhere – Jen
Congrats on the blog! How exciting! Fitness is an important part of my life. I love high impact activities eg running, boot camp, high intensity intervals, etc with spin classes thrown in. Unfortunately for the past year I’ve been asked by doctors to slow it down & go low impact/intensity. Long story for another day. So, my motivation isn’t quite there but I do barre classes, walking, & strength training in the gym. I miss running some days. Keep doing what you’re doing. I love being in a community of like-minded people who enjoy being fit!
