This First Friday series is featuring Hogwarts Running Club.

Hogwarts Running Club

Per their page, The Hogwarts Running Club (HRC) is a charitable program administered by Random Tuesday, Inc. (RTI) – a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN 47-4958349) dedicated to harnessing the power of fandom to inspire communities of fans to be more physically active while raising funds for deserving charities.

Charities are nominated by members of the HRC. They prefer to focus on smaller, lesser known charities so they can have the most impact. Some recent partners include RODS – Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome, All Star Code, Toucan Rescue Ranch and Goats of Anarchy.

The website says that approximately $.60 of every dollar goes to the charity partner.  Each event is $25 and includes your bib, finisher’s medal and ribbon.

So how can you participate?

It’s very easy.

  1. Go to their website.
  2. Click the link.
  3. Register and choose your event.
  4. Go start your activity.

I took advantage of the 2018 Time Turner event and registered for the 9 3/4k event sponsoring RODS. I look forward to completing the run this weekend and will post a picture once I’m done!

You should really check out the HRC running page. I’d love to hear about any events you complete!
